Spring at Cashel

Bespoke Wedding Stationery Suite | Cashel Palace

Created for Emma and Matthew’s spring wedding at Cashel Palace, this bespoke stationery suite was inspired by art, romance and elegant European interiors.

The palette began with soft blush, ivory and claret, with warmer ochre tones woven through the supporting pieces to bring richness and depth to a joyful spring celebration. I wanted the overall feel to be romantic and refined, but with enough personality to stop it feeling too traditional. The walls of Cashel Palace are adorned with an eclectic collection of classic artworks, so the vision was for the stationery to feel perfectly at home within that world, while reflecting the couple’s own love of art, style and detail.

The invitation suite was designed to loosely evoke a pack of playing cards, with multiple layered pieces housed within a custom die-cut pocket. Softly rounded shapes, fine borders and a bespoke monogram created continuity from the invitations through to the wedding day. Emma and Matthew had previously commissioned a bespoke ballroom illustration, which was important to them to include in the suite. This became a key feature of the invitations, lining the inside of the custom wallet and appearing in different crops as a cameo on the reverse of each card.

The main invitation was duplexed for extra thickness on luxurious soft-pink stock, with the typographic design pressed in rich mulberry hot foil to create a deep impression and striking tactile finish.

For the wedding day, the stationery became more editorial and playful. I created a series of hand-drawn illustrations that brought a sense of wit and individuality across the pieces, with a subtle nod to the characterful linework of The New Yorker. Personalised oval menus and illustrated table signs were designed as a collection, drawing on global restaurants that were meaningful to the couple.

The result was a suite that felt elegant, distinct and personal. A complete stationery story designed to sit naturally within the beauty and styling of a spring celebration at Cashel Palace.
