Honey Bee Mine is a UK-based full-service stationery studio offering both semi-custom and fully bespoke options. All items are made to order and either personalised or fully custom.

Due to the handmade nature of the products, slight variations in finish, texture, or alignment may occur. This is part of their charm and not considered a fault.

• Signature Collections – Work begins once your Booking Form and Wedding Details Form is submitted and the initial 50% payment has been received. The remaining balance is due once design visuals have been approved and before we move into production.

• Bespoke Stationery – Bespoke commissions are individually scoped and may include invitation stationery, digital stationery, wedding-day stationery, or a complete stationery suite carried across the celebration.

  Where physical stationery is commissioned, bespoke projects are carried out across two linked phases, which are charged separately:

  • Creative direction and design

  • Print, production and assembly

  Design and production are provided together as a complete service, with production managed by Honey Bee Mine through trusted production partners. Design files are not supplied for third-party production as standard.

  In exceptional circumstances, Honey Bee Mine may agree to an alternative production arrangement. Any such exception must be agreed in writing in advance and will be subject to separate project-specific terms before any production artwork is released.

  Your project begins after a discovery call, signed agreement, and full payment of the agreed design fee. This payment secures the design capacity required for the agreed scope in my creative schedule. Production costs are quoted separately and are dependent on quantities, finishes, complexity and chosen materials.

  Where bespoke invitation and wedding-day stationery are commissioned together, your proposal will set out the design scope and fee applicable to each part of the project. Booking both together reserves the necessary design capacity for your complete stationery commission.

  Where wedding-day stationery is being commissioned but the exact requirements are still developing, a separate design reservation payment may instead be agreed to secure availability for your wedding date. This will be credited towards the wedding-day design fee once the scope has been confirmed. If wedding-day stationery is not booked or reserved alongside your invitations, future availability cannot be guaranteed.

  The design fee covers the creative development and design of the stationery included within the agreed scope. It does not confer ownership of design files, source files or intellectual property, which remain with Honey Bee Mine. Design files, source files and editable artwork are not transferable and will not be released to clients or third parties. Where Honey Bee Mine has exceptionally agreed to external production under separate project-specific terms, approved final production artwork may be supplied solely for the purposes set out in that agreement.

  The initial bespoke design phase includes two rounds of creative revisions to the selected design direction, unless otherwise stated in your proposal. Once the creative direction has been approved, subsequent stationery pieces will be developed using the established visual language and provided for proofing and approval before production. Significant changes to an approved creative direction, additional concepts, further rounds of creative revisions, or requests outside the agreed scope may be quoted separately.

  Bespoke stationery is developed based on the direction and scope agreed at the start of the project. Significant changes to style, concept, format, materials or requirements after design work has begun may require a revised quotation and updated timeline.

• Honey Bee Mine reserves the right to decline requests that fall outside of the agreed scope of work.

  Lead times are based on timely submission of content, approvals, and payments. Delays in providing information, approving proofs, or settling invoices may result in your project being moved in the schedule, and completion dates cannot be guaranteed.

• Honey Bee Mine cannot be held responsible for missed event dates where delays are caused by late content submission, late approvals, payment delays, or circumstances beyond the control of the studio.

• You are responsible for providing accurate content for your stationery (including names, dates, times, and other event details). All text will be created exactly as supplied in your Details Form or other agreed method of content submission unless you request changes during the proofing stage. Please check your proofs carefully – spelling, grammar, dates, and supplied information are your responsibility. Honey Bee Mine cannot be held liable for errors that were present in the content you provided or that were approved in your final proof.

• Once you approve your final proof, the artwork will be prepared for production. No further changes can be made once the artwork has been approved and sent to production.

• Please allow the lead time quoted when ordering. Delays in providing content, approving proofs, or making payments will extend your timeline.

Products available through the Honey Bee Mine online shop are made to order and are personalised to your chosen wording, names, colours, finishes or other specifications.

Full payment is taken at the time your order is placed.

Once your order has been received, you will be asked to provide any further information required to personalise your stationery. Production will not begin until the proof has been approved.

Please check all information supplied carefully. Names, dates, addresses, menu wording, guest lists and other personalised content will be reproduced from the information you provide. You are responsible for checking your final proof before approval.

Once a final proof has been approved, no further changes can be guaranteed. Any changes requested after approval may incur additional design, printing or production costs.

The personalisation options shown on each online product form part of that product's standard specification. If you require different colours, finishes, formats or more extensive customisation, please contact Honey Bee Mine before ordering. More tailored options may be available as part of a wider stationery commission.

Production times are shown on the relevant product page or confirmed following your order. These times begin once all required information and proof approval have been received.

• Signature Collection commissions – A 50% payment of the total quoted price is required to begin work. The remaining balance must be paid in full before your stationery is printed or produced.

• Bespoke commissions – The full design fee for the agreed scope is payable upfront following your discovery call to secure the required design capacity in my schedule, unless an alternative payment schedule has been agreed within your proposal or Booking Form. Where invitation and wedding-day stationery are commissioned together, your proposal will confirm the design fee applicable to each part of the project.

  Where wedding-day requirements are still developing, a separate design reservation payment may instead be agreed to secure availability for your wedding date. This will be credited towards the wedding-day design fee once the scope has been confirmed.

  Print and production are quoted separately and must be paid in full before printing or physical production begins.

• Online Shop Orders – Orders placed through the Honey Bee Mine online shop are paid in full at checkout and processed securely through the payment methods available at checkout.

• Orders placed via invoice – Payment can be made by bank transfer through the pay link provided on your invoice.

• All payments must be made in GBP (£).

• Late payments beyond 14 days of the invoice due date may incur fees and could result in removal from my production schedule.

• International payments – All invoices are issued in GBP (Pounds Sterling). If you’re paying from overseas, your bank or payment provider may apply currency conversion or transfer fees. These are the responsibility of the client. The full invoiced amount must be received in GBP before your order can move into production.

Most Honey Bee Mine stationery is personalised or made to your specifications, including names, wording, dates, colours, finishes or other selected details.

Because of this, personalised and custom-made products are non-returnable and non-refundable for change of mind, and the usual 14-day cancellation right for distance sales does not apply to goods made to your specifications or clearly personalised.

If you realise you have made a mistake or need to change an order, please contact me at hello@honeybeemine.co.uk as soon as possible. Where production has not yet begun, I will always try to help, although changes cannot be guaranteed and additional costs may apply.

This does not affect your statutory rights. If an item is faulty, damaged, not as described or does not match the approved design, please contact me as soon as possible so I can put things right. UK consumer law still requires faulty or misdescribed goods to be remedied appropriately.

For any return that has been agreed because an item is faulty, damaged or otherwise eligible for return, please contact me before sending anything and I will provide the appropriate return instructions and address.

Delivery damage

If your parcel arrives visibly damaged, please contact me wherever possible within 48 hours and provide photographs of the packaging and affected items. Please retain all packaging while the issue is investigated, as this may be required for a courier claim. Reporting damage promptly helps me resolve the issue as quickly as possible and does not affect your statutory rights.

• UK delivery charges for online shop orders are calculated and displayed at checkout before payment. Large-format products will have a different delivery charge from smaller stationery items.

  Delivery charges for separately quoted Signature Collection and Bespoke commissions will be confirmed as part of your quotation or invoice.

• International orders – Online shop orders are currently available for UK delivery only. International orders may be available by enquiry and will be quoted individually. Customers are responsible for any applicable customs duties or import taxes.

• Once your order has been dispatched, you will be kept updated with tracking details. If your order is delayed, lost, or arrives damaged, please contact hello@honeybeemine.co.uk within the timeframes stated in these Terms so I can work with the courier to resolve the issue.

• Please order in good time ahead of your event. The studio cannot guarantee delivery dates if affected by delays beyond the control of Honey Bee Mine.

• Production & Delivery – All Honey Bee Mine stationery is made to order. Please allow approximately 2–3 weeks from final proof approval for production, followed by delivery.

  Large-format signage or items requiring specialist finishes may take a little longer. If a longer lead time applies, this will be shown on the relevant product page or confirmed after ordering.

  If you need your stationery by a particular date, please contact me before placing your order to make sure the timescale is achievable.

• Colours may vary between on-screen proofs and final printed items due to differences in monitors, paper types, and printing processes. These variations are not considered a fault.

• Small shifts in colour, texture, or alignment are a natural result of certain print and finishing processes and will not be treated as defects.

• You are responsible for checking all proofs carefully, including spelling, grammar, names, dates, times, addresses and layout.

• By approving your final proof, you confirm that the wording, spelling, dates, names and layout shown are correct.

• Honey Bee Mine cannot be held responsible for errors that were present in and approved as part of the final proof.

• Once your final proof has been approved, your stationery will move into production and further changes cannot be guaranteed. Changes requested after approval may incur additional design, printing or production costs.

• All designs, artwork, illustrations, digital files and source files created by Honey Bee Mine remain the exclusive intellectual property of Honey Bee Mine at all times, regardless of whether full payment has been received. Payment for a commission does not transfer ownership or copyright of the designs or artwork to the client.

• Honey Bee Mine operates as a full-service studio. Design files, source files and editable working files are not supplied to clients or third parties, and physical production is typically managed exclusively by Honey Bee Mine through trusted production partners.

• In exceptional circumstances, Honey Bee Mine may expressly agree in writing to an alternative production arrangement. Any such exception will be subject to separate project-specific terms. Approved final production artwork may only be supplied for the specific purpose agreed and does not transfer ownership, copyright or any right to alter, adapt, reuse or reproduce the design beyond that agreement.

• Bespoke stationery is custom-created for you, but Honey Bee Mine retains the copyright and may include in their portfolio, website, and social media.

• When submitting your Wedding Details Form, you’ll be asked to set your image-sharing preference:
  

  • Yes – I may share images of your stationery, including before your wedding.

  • Yes, but after the wedding – I will only share images after your wedding date.

  • No – I will not share identifiable images of your stationery.

  If you opt out, images of your finished stationery (with identifiable details such as your names and wedding date removed) may still be shared.

  You can change your preference at any time by contacting hello@honeybeemine.co.uk.

• Upon full payment and delivery of your order, Honey Bee Mine grants you a non-exclusive, non-transferable licence for personal use in connection with your wedding or event. This licence does not include the right to reproduce, adapt, alter or use designs for any commercial purpose, except where separate project-specific production terms have expressly been agreed in writing.

While the studio will always work to agreed timelines, Honey Bee Mine cannot be held responsible for delays or missed event dates caused by circumstances beyond their reasonable control. These include, but are not limited to: extreme weather, fire, flood, illness, pandemics, courier or postal strikes, customs delays, or other force majeure events.

Either party may cancel an agreement by notifying the other in writing.

Cancellation by the client

If you wish to cancel your order or commission, please notify Honey Bee Mine in writing as soon as possible.

14-day cancellation period for design services:
Where a bespoke commission is booked remotely, you have the right to cancel the design-service element of your booking within 14 days of entering into the contract. If you ask Honey Bee Mine to begin design work during this period and then choose to cancel, you will be charged only for the design work completed up to the point of cancellation. Once a design service has been fully completed, your right to cancel that completed service will end where you have expressly agreed for work to begin during the cancellation period and acknowledged this.

Where a Signature Collection or Bespoke commission is cancelled, Honey Bee Mine may retain an amount from payments already made that reasonably reflects work already undertaken, time specifically reserved for the project, materials or production costs already committed, and any other direct losses arising from the cancellation.

Any remaining balance will be refunded where appropriate.

Where design work has already been completed, the cost of that work remains payable.

Where production has already begun or materials have been ordered specifically for the project, the associated production costs remain payable.

Once a personalised online shop order has entered production, cancellation may no longer be possible.

Any amount retained following cancellation will be proportionate to the work completed and costs or losses already incurred. Honey Bee Mine will take reasonable steps to minimise losses where possible.

Cancellation by Honey Bee Mine

Honey Bee Mine may cancel or terminate a project where there are reasonable grounds to do so, including:

• serious illness or circumstances beyond reasonable control;

• failure to provide required information, approvals or payments within agreed timeframes;

• repeated delays that prevent the project progressing as scheduled;

• requests falling materially outside the agreed scope of work;

• or where the working relationship has broken down to the extent that the project can no longer reasonably proceed.

Where Honey Bee Mine cancels and the client is not at fault, any payment relating to work or production not yet carried out will be refunded.

Where cancellation results from client delay, non-payment, failure to provide information or another client breach, completed work and costs already incurred remain payable.

Changes to scope or direction

Bespoke stationery is developed according to the brief agreed at the start of the project.

Significant changes to style, concept, format, materials or scope after work has begun may require a revised quotation and updated timeline.

Honey Bee Mine reserves the right to decline requests that fall outside the agreed scope of work.

Re-engagement after cancellation

If a project is cancelled and the client later wishes to restart the same or a similar project, a new agreement and payment may be required.

Previously completed design work may need to be charged for again where redevelopment or substantial revisions are required.

Any design work created remains the intellectual property of Honey Bee Mine and may not be reproduced, adapted or used outside the terms originally agreed.

Honey Bee Mine takes reasonable care to ensure stationery is designed, printed and produced to the agreed specification and to an appropriate professional standard.

Honey Bee Mine cannot be held responsible for:

• errors that were present in and approved as part of the final proof;

• delays caused by late content submission, delayed approvals or late payment;

• minor variations in colour, texture, finish or alignment that fall within the normal tolerances of the printing, paper or finishing process;

• delays caused by circumstances outside the reasonable control of Honey Bee Mine.

Nothing in these terms limits or excludes your statutory rights, including your rights where goods are faulty, not as described or do not match the approved specification.

In the unlikely event of a dispute or complaint, please contact the studio in writing at hello@honeybeemine.co.uk. This will be acknowledged and aimed to be resolved within 14 working days. If we are unable to reach resolution, the matter the matter may be referred to mediation before any legal proceedings are considered.

These terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales. Any disputes will be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the English courts.
