The not-so-romantic part – but just as important.

Please read these terms carefully before placing your order. By booking a service or making a purchase, you’re confirming that you’ve read, understood, and agreed to everything outlined below.

These Terms and Conditions apply to all orders placed with Honey Bee Mine. If you have any questions, please get in touch and I’ll be happy to clarify.

  • Honey Bee Mine is a UK-based full-service stationery studio offering both semi-custom and fully bespoke options. All items are made to order and either personalised or fully custom.

Due to the handmade nature of the products, slight variations in finish, texture, or alignment may occur. This is part of their charm and not considered a fault.

    • Signature Collections – Work begins once your Wedding Details Form is submitted and the initial 50% payment has been received. The remaining balance is due once design visuals have been approved and before we move into production.

    • Bespoke Stationery – All bespoke commissions are for the creation of finished, physical stationery pieces. Due to the nature of bespoke work, your project will be carried out across two linked phases, which are charged separately:

      1. Creative direction and design
      2. Production and hand-assembly

Design and production are only available together as a complete service. Design files will not be released to allow production by a third party under any circumstances.

Your project begins after a discovery call, signed agreement, and full payment of the initial design fee. Production costs are quoted separately and are dependant on quantities, finishes, complexity and chosen materials.

The design fee covers the creative development and initial design phase of your stationery. It does not confer ownership of design files, source files or intellectual property, which remain with Honey Bee Mine. Design files are not transferable and will not be released under any circumstances.

The design phase includes two rounds of revisions. Additional revisions, design changes, or requests outside the agreed brief may be quoted separately.

Bespoke stationery is developed based on the direction agreed at the start of the project. Significant changes to style, concept, format, or materials after design work has begun may require a revised quotation and updated timeline.

    • Honey Bee Mine reserves the right to decline requests that fall outside of the agreed scope of work.

Lead times are based on timely submission of content, approvals, and payments. Delays in providing information, approving proofs, or settling invoices may result in your project being moved in the schedule, and completion dates cannot be guaranteed.

Honey Bee Mine cannot be held responsible for missed event dates where delays are caused by late content submission, late approvals, payment delays, or circumstances beyond the control of the studio.

    • You are responsible for providing accurate content for your stationery (including names, dates, times, and other event details). All text will be created exactly as supplied in your Details Form unless you request changes during the proofing stage. Please check your proofs carefully – spelling, grammar, dates, and layout are your responsibility. Honey Bee Mine cannot be held liable for errors that were present in the content you provided or that were approved in your final proof.

    • Once you approve your final proof, the design will go to print. No further changes can be made after this point.

    • Please allow the lead time quoted when ordering. Delays in providing content, approving proofs, or making payments will extend your timeline.

    • A 50% payment of your total quoted price is required to begin all Signature Collection work.

    • For bespoke stationery, the full design fee is payable upfront after your discovery call to secure your place in the schedule. Production is quoted separately and is due before any of your designs are printed and physically produced.

    • Final balances must be paid in full before your stationery is printed.

    • Sample Edit purchases made through the online shop are processed securely via Squarespace Payments, which accepts major credit and debit cards, Apple Pay, Google Pay, Klarna, and Clearpay.

For stationery orders placed via invoice, payment can be made securely by direct bank transfer (BACS) via payment link on invoice.

    • All payments must be made in GBP (£).

    • Late payments beyond 14 days of the invoice due date may incur fees and could result in removal from my schedule.

    • International payments: I’m delighted to create stationery for couples planning celebrations across the world. Please note that all invoices are issued in GBP (Pounds Sterling). If you’re paying from overseas, your bank may apply currency conversion or transfer fees — these are the responsibility of the client.

To keep things seamless, I kindly ask that the full invoiced amount is received in GBP before your order can move into production.

    • Due to the personalised nature of my work, all orders are non-refundable once design has begun.

    • If you need to cancel before design starts, please contact me as soon as possible. A partial refund may be offered at my discretion depending on the stage reached.

    • Sample Edits are also non-refundable, as they are made to order. Colours, finishes, or materials in your Sample Edit are representative only and may vary slightly from final production due to supplier changes or print runs.

    • All orders are carefully checked and packaged before dispatch. If your order arrives damaged, you must notify me in writing within 48 hours of delivery and provide clear photographs of both the packaging and the damaged items. All packaging must be retained for courier claims. This is essential so I can raise the issue with the courier and arrange a suitable replacement. Claims made after this timeframe may not be accepted.

    • UK orders over £150 include complimentary tracked shipping.

    • International shipping is available and quoted individually. Customers are responsible for any local customs duties or import taxes.

    • Once your order has been dispatched, you will be kept updated with tracking details. If your order is delayed, lost, or arrives damaged, please contact hello@honeybeemine.co.uk within the timeframes stated in these Terms so I can work with the courier to resolve the issue.

    • Please order in good time ahead of your event. The studio cannot guarantee delivery dates if affected by delays beyond the control of Honey Bee Mine.

    • Colours may vary between on-screen proofs and final printed items due to differences in monitors, paper types, and printing processes. These variations are not considered a fault.

    • Small shifts in colour, texture, or alignment are a natural result of certain print and finishing processes and will not be treated as defects.

    • You are responsible for checking all proofs carefully, including spelling, grammar, dates, and layout.

    • By approving your final proof, you accept full responsibility for the content as shown. Honey Bee Mine is not liable for any errors discovered after proof approval.

    • All designs, artwork, illustrations, digital files and source files created by Honey Bee Mine remain the exclusive intellectual property of Honey Bee Mine at all times, regardless of whether full payment has been received. A licence is granted to the client for personal use of the finished printed stationery only.

    • Honey Bee Mine operates as a full-service studio. Design files, source files, and working files are never released to clients or third parties. All printing and production is carried out exclusively by Honey Bee Mine or its trusted print partners.

    • Any attempt to reproduce, copy, adapt or send designs to a third party printer – with or without modification – constitutes a breach of these terms.

    • Bespoke stationery is custom-created for you, but Honey Bee Mine retains the copyright and may include in their portfolio, website, and social media.

    • When submitting your Wedding Details Form, you’ll be asked to set your image-sharing preference:

      • Yes – I may share images of your stationery, including before your wedding.

      • Yes, but after the wedding – I will only share images after your wedding date.

      • No – I will not share identifiable images of your stationery.

If you opt out, images of your finished stationery (with identifiable details such as your names and wedding date removed) may still be shared.

You can change your preference at any time by contacting hello@honeybeemine.co.uk.

    • Upon full payment and delivery of your order, Honey Bee Mine grants you a non-exclusive, non-transferable personal licence for your wedding or event. This licence does not include the right to reproduce, adapt, or use designs for any commercial purpose.

  • You can view the Honey Bee Mine Privacy Policy here.

  • While the studio will always work to agreed timelines, Honey Bee Mine cannot be held responsible for delays or missed event dates caused by circumstances beyond their reasonable control. These include, but are not limited to: extreme weather, fire, flood, illness, pandemics, courier or postal strikes, customs delays, or other force majeure events.

  • Either party may cancel this agreement by notifying the other in writing.

    Cancellation by the client:

If you wish to cancel your order, you must notify Honey Bee Mine in writing as soon as possible. The following cancellation terms apply:

Cancellation before design work has begun – your deposit or design fee will be retained in full to cover time already allocated to your project. A refund of any additional amounts paid may be offered at Honey Bee Mine’s discretion.

Cancellation after design work has begun but before proof approval – the full design fee is non-refundable. Any production payments already made will be refunded minus any costs already incurred.

Cancellation after proof approval – no refund will be issued. Once proofs have been approved, your order is considered confirmed for production.

Cancellation after production has begun – the full contract value remains payable, as materials, print, and assembly will already have been committed.

    Cancellation by Honey Bee Mine:

Honey Bee Mine reserves the right to cancel or terminate a project in exceptional circumstances, including but not limited to:

    • serious illness or circumstances beyond reasonable control

    • client failure to provide required content, approvals, or payments within agreed timeframes

    • repeated delays which prevent the project progressing as scheduled

    • requests that fall outside the agreed scope of work

    • or where the working relationship has broken down and the project can no longer proceed in a constructive and collaborative way

In the event of cancellation by Honey Bee Mine, all work completed up to the date of termination will be charged for. Any remaining balance for work already carried out will be payable. Production costs not yet incurred will not be charged.

Honey Bee Mine cannot be held responsible for any consequential loss, including missed event dates, where cancellation results from client delay, non-cooperation, or circumstances outside the control of the studio.

    Changes to scope or direction:

Bespoke stationery is created based on the brief agreed at the start of the project.

Significant changes in direction, additional items, or requests outside the original quotation may require a revised quote and updated timeline.

Honey Bee Mine reserves the right to decline requests that fall outside the agreed scope.

    Re-engagement after cancellation:

If a project is cancelled and the client later wishes to continue or restart the same or a similar project, a new agreement and deposit will be required.

Previously completed design work may be charged for again where revisions or redevelopment are needed.

In all cases, any design work created remains the intellectual property of Honey Bee Mine and may not be used, reproduced or adapted by the client.

  • I take every care to ensure your stationery is printed and produced to the highest standard. However, I cannot be held responsible for:

    • Errors missed after final proof approval.

    • Delays caused by late payment, late content submission, or delayed proof approval.

    • Minor variations in colour, finish, or alignment due to printing processes or paper stocks.

  • In the unlikely event of a dispute or complaint, please contact the studio in writing at hello@honeybeemine.co.uk. This will be acknowledged and aimed to be resolved within 14 working days. If we are unable to reach resolution, the matter the matter may be referred to mediation before any legal proceedings are considered.
