A Weekend In Colour

Kin House Wedding Stationery
Bespoke multi-event invitations & wedding-day stationery

For Arjun & Candice’s celebration at Kin House, the stationery needed to tell the story of far more than a single day.

Working closely with Constance of Mrs T Weddings, I developed a visual identity for a series of celebrations including the Sri Sukhmani Sahib Ji Paath, Maiyan, Jaggo, Sangeet and reception – each with its own atmosphere, traditions and visual character.

The result was a completely bespoke stationery story built around expressive botanical illustration, architectural details and an evolving palette of burgundy, fuchsia, saffron, blush and deep green. Beginning with a digital save the date, the design developed through the printed invitations and an extensive collection of distinctive wedding-day stationery.

A visual identity for the whole celebration

At the heart of the design was a bespoke botanical illustration featuring pomegranates, delicate vines and floral details. Rather than repeating one design throughout, the artwork evolved from event to event. Changes in colour and botanical form gave each celebration its own character, while recurring typography, architectural shapes and illustrative details created continuity across the weekend.

This allowed the stationery to respond to the joyful energy of the Maiyan, Jaggo, Mehndi and Sangeet, the sacred Sri Sukhmani Sahib Ji Paath and the glamorous evening reception, while still feeling unmistakably part of the same celebration.

Bespoke Kin House wedding invitations

The invitation suite introduced guests to the wedding weekend with a deep burgundy presentation wallet featuring a bespoke die-cut silhouette and a glimpse of the botanical artwork beneath. Inside, individual cards guided guests through the different celebrations, with each event given its own colour and visual identity.

With guests travelling from both the UK and the US, the suite needed to communicate a considerable amount of information while remaining elegant and refined. English and Punjabi were incorporated across the invitations, adding another layer of personalisation and ensuring the stationery reflected the families and celebration it had been created for.

From invitation to Kin House

The same visual language was carried through an extensive collection of wedding-day stationery, including place cards, reception menus, table numbers, welcome itineraries, table plans, food station menus, directional signage, guest information and bespoke fabric bar coverings. Even the cookies got involved, with die-cut stickers created to finish each individually wrapped cookie.

Bringing such a varied collection to life meant working across multiple specialist production partners and coordinating different materials, formats and finishes while keeping the overall design consistent. Some pieces allowed the botanical artwork and colour to take centre stage, while others were intentionally quieter, using typography, shape and subtle illustrative details to connect them back to the wider suite.

Designing across different traditions and events

A Maiyan doesn't need to look like a Sangeet, and a Sangeet doesn't need to look like the reception.

For this Kin House celebration, the palette and artwork evolved from event to event, giving each one its own identity while recurring details created continuity throughout the weekend. It’s an approach I love bringing to multi-event weddings: creating enough individuality for each celebration to feel distinct without losing the visual thread that connects them.
