Black-Tie Wedding Invitations | NoMad London

Striking colour and editorial refinement were at the heart of this London, black-tie wedding invitation. The vision was bold and expressive but with plenty of warmth and elegance.

The combination of black and rich amber was the starting point. I wanted the contrast to have real impact, with ivory bringing softness to the palette and giving the typography room to breathe. Flowing script, a fine border and a die-cut silhouette lend the main invitation a refined, classic feel, and the geometric pattern on the accompanying details card gives the whole suite a more design-led, contemporary edge.

For me, it’s how the pieces work together that makes the suite. The way the tiny diamond-shaped RSVP echoes the pattern on the details card, while the gold ribbon and torn envelope edges soften those crisp shapes. The jet-black wax seal against the black envelope creates such a tactile moment that works perfectly as a subtle yet striking finishing touch.

Such a joy to create an invitation suite full of contrast, warmth and texture, designed to set the tone for an iconic black-tie wedding in London.
